GTA 6 is back in the spotlight, this time thanks to a new Sony PlayStation 5 campaign that brings together some of the most anticipated games coming to the console.
The campaign aims to showcase what makes playing on PS5 special, and among the big names featured, GTA 6 appears as one of its protagonists. Although it’s not a new trailer or unseen gameplay, the game's presence once again demonstrates the weight that Rockstar's upcoming title carries within PlayStation's catalog.
GTA 6 reappears on PlayStation's radar
Sony has launched a new global campaign focused on the great moments players can experience on PS5. The initiative brings together different titles and experiences that seek to represent the present and future of the console.
Among them is Grand Theft Auto VI, one of the most anticipated releases of 2026.
The appearance of GTA 6 is not accompanied by new scenes from the game. Sony uses promotional material that fans are already familiar with, so those expecting a new glimpse of Vice City will have to keep waiting.
Still, from a marketing perspective, the move is interesting.

Why is Sony highlighting GTA 6?
GTA 6 is much more than just another launch for PlayStation. It's one of those games capable of generating conversation even months before hitting stores.
Its release is scheduled for November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and every new move around the game quickly becomes news within the gaming community.
For Sony, including it in a PS5 campaign allows the console to be associated with one of the most anticipated video games currently.
Furthermore, it helps reinforce the idea that PS5 will be one of the main platforms to enjoy GTA 6 when it finally arrives.
The big preview is still to come
While Sony leverages the GTA 6 phenomenon to promote its console, Rockstar is preparing to show new content.
The next big moment will be August 27, when Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look will premiere, first on Netflix and then on YouTube.
We don't know exactly what Rockstar will show yet, but anticipation for more details on the map, characters, and gameplay continues to grow.
For now, Sony seems to have it pretty clear: GTA 6 is one of the games that could define this generation of PS5.
