Wolverine fans who are also PlayStation collectors have a new reason to pull out their cards. Sony officially unveiled a limited edition PS5 inspired by Marvel’s Wolverine, accompanied by new DualSense controllers and special covers for PS5 and PS5 Pro.
The collection will arrive to celebrate the release of the highly anticipated game developed by Insomniac Games, and if one thing is clear from the first glance, it’s that Sony went for a rather striking design.
Behold the new Marvel’s Wolverine PS5
The star of this collection is a yellow PS5 Digital Edition, directly inspired by Wolverine's aesthetic.
The design incorporates graphic elements related to the character and aims to give the console a much more striking look than the standard model.
But Sony didn't stop at just the console. There will also be accessories for those who already own a PS5 or PS5 Pro and simply want to add a more "mutant" touch to their setup.
The collection includes:
-
PS5 Digital Edition – Marvel’s Wolverine: US$649.99
-
Yellow DualSense: US$84.99
-
Adamantium-colored DualSense: US$84.99
-
Yellow PS5 cover: US$74.99
-
Yellow PS5 Pro cover: US$74.99
-
Adamantium-colored PS5 Pro cover: US$74.99
Prices may vary depending on the country and taxes, so in Latin America, we will have to wait for information from each market.

When can you pre-order?
If you want to try to get any of these products, you'll need to mark a date on your calendar.
Pre-orders will begin on August 19, 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m. local time, through PlayStation Direct where available and participating stores.
And here's the important part: this is a limited availability collection.
Sony has not specified how many units will be manufactured, so collectors will likely have to be on alert from the very first minute.
When will the Wolverine PS5 be released?
The collection will officially arrive on September 15, 2026, coinciding with the launch of Marvel’s Wolverine.
The strategy makes a lot of sense. PlayStation is using the launch of Insomniac's new game as an opportunity to make it more than just a release: also a collector's item for Wolverine fans.
An edition for fans and collectors
While the console will likely grab the most attention, the accessories could end up being a more attractive alternative for those who already own a PS5.
Buying only the DualSense or changing the covers allows you to give your console a new look without having to buy another complete system.
And there's another detail that could make these products especially sought after: Marvel’s Wolverine is one of PlayStation's big releases for 2026 and comes from Insomniac Games, the studio responsible for the successful Marvel’s Spider-Man saga.
Now it remains to be seen how quickly they disappear from stores.
Because if you're a Wolverine fan and a PlayStation collector, this is probably one of those editions you won't want to put off.
Is this limited edition worth it?
If you already own a PS5, the DualSense or the covers are probably the most logical option. But for collectors and Wolverine fans, the yellow console could become a very special piece.
However, before getting excited, check the availability and price in your country. The prices originally published correspond to the US market and may change considerably in Latin America.
